DTP with InDesign for newcomers
InDesign is a modern and professional tool for DTP applications. Used along with other Adobe products such as Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop, the object-oriented principle of this software provides an integrated publishing solution for designing and producing documents.
Whether you’re changing over from other layout programs or a newcomer to InDesign, this course will give you a solid understanding of how to use the program. You will be shown many functions which are sorely missed in other programs.
Course content
You will be taught all the functions using practice-based exercises, from setting up the document layout to preparing a document for high res printing.
■ Comparison with other DTP programs
■ Introduction to the program
■ Page and document construction (print space definition, templates, numbering, etc.)
■ Working with text (creating and editing text, formatting characters and paragraphs)
■ Publication from InDesign (document check and print preparation, PDF export)
