Whatever their size, companies are becoming increasingly aware of the necessity and advantages of using terminology consistently. How is this done?
This seminar teaches the theory behind successful terminology management. It shows the benefits, effects and obstacles. Practical solutions are given on how to create company-specific terminologies systematically. Using this as a basis, we look at the main aspects in detail and address specific issues from an editor’s and translator’s point of view.
Course contents
You will become familiar with the objectives, with what is required for a successful project and with the concepts of terminology management. This then enables you to assess how these will affect the process of creating the text content. You will get a good understanding of how the organisational structure, processes and technology are put into effect.
